These days, going back to a house is more meaningful than going back “home”.

I’m getting sick of people living in the house (probably that includes me) and the house itself

This is just too much

I need to build a tiny space for myself for me to called tiny “home” or tiny “nest”. I guess I should be happier that way.

The whole house does not belong to me. It does not go the one I want it to be. That’s the reason I need a tiny place for myself. Whatever happens outside is generally not a concern anymore. At least I an start doing the stuff my way in my tiny place called “nest” or “home”.

Looking at the condition of the whole house and the occupants there is really very demotivating. These days I find solace among my colleagues (eventhough my job is not the best in the world). At least I can just forget about stuff which I should forget for 8+ hours.

After working hours, it is a complete different theme.

Today i took a very long time just to do dishes.. 1/2 hour I guess. 10 minutes or less for some people to complete their dinner. But do you know how long I needed to cook. More than an hour to fry fish and more than 8 hours to slow cook the black bean soup. But some people only took about a bowl in total. I feel so sian until I decided to take my own swwet time to clear the dinner table and to wash the yard floor. Yes, I admit that I’m a freak in terms of cleanliness and it makes a reason why I want to write this post.

I hate it -

1. when I see newspaper on the sofa
2. that the study room’s messiness is never ending.. It’s so freaking upsetting that I want ot beautify the room but people are just not helping
3. when people start picking my newly washed clothes without bathing and changing to clean clothes
4. when people start folding my newly washed clothes without bathing and changing to clean clothes AND mopping the floor clean.
5. to see urine stain on the toilet bowl
6. to see files lying everywhere.. it’s always that things taken are not put back to the original place
7. that it’s my 1/3 home but still can’t do all I want it to be
8. when I said I want to ReST but I couldn’t
9. for many other reasons.

With all these, I’m pondering now-

1. whether is it appropriate to live with other people
2. Am I a person who can only live on her own or at least with people who have the same standard of home living as myself e.g. my mom

I know that I have a lot of frustration inside me. And YES, I’m complaining!!

What last chance? you have been asking for that for the past 10 years. This thing will never end!!

Saturday (20/9)

Fetch everyone from Seremban to my house. Some will take the commuter and some come by my car.Hopefully to reach KL by noon

12pm – Prepare all the dishes which can only be prepared in KL.

3 pm – Rehearsal with kids on birthday song

3:45 pm – Decoration and arrangements of seats and food

5 pm - Tie up loose ends

7:00-7:30 pm – Arrival of guest

7:40 – D come home. Have to pakat with Kent to cook up a story to stay out late until this time.

Things to do

1. Check out birthday cake at Polar and Puff in Pavilion
2. Prepare decoration
3. Bring back photos to scan
4. Buy birthday gift

Can my 945sqft accomodate 40+ people. Something which I need to think about. There are few options to be considered:

1. Relook at the guest list. Only invite people that are really close to D
2. Ask management on the availability of an event hall. Something which I don’t really fancy
3. Do it at KJ (D’s family house)

I would prefer Option 1 as doing it at home is more fun, and somehow if people do it for me at home, I’ll feel even more loved and near.

So, while waiting for the right time to check with the Management, I’ll just slash the guest list. Have already informed Kent about it and he is willing to help, but Shirley will not be arnd too during the time due to Company trip. So, once i’ve finalised everything I’ll plan on the timing with Kent.
